Liquor shops near Narmada river removed

Bhopal. The decision taken by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the Narmada Seva Yatra in the interest of the State to close down all liquor shops within 5 km radius of Narmada river is a laudable step and every village is all praise for this step. There is a festive atmosphere in the villages on the banks of the river Narmada.

Resident of Chirai Dongri village Smt. Lakshm Jhariya said that she did not have words to express her happiness at the Chief Minister’s decision to remove liquor shops from the banks of Narmada. Women of our village are so happy with this decision that they are repeatedly showering CM with their blessings. This is a very big step. Shri Lal Jain from the same village said that the atmosphere in their village was now very peaceful. Youths from nearby tribal villages Hanimanta Gadar, Sahjani, Bijegaon and Gurjar Sari also lauded the decision taken by the Chief Minister. They said that there is need to put an end to the addiction of liquor that has spread in the society. The youths said that the tribals are now getting educated and becoming aware.

Ajmer Singh Merawai of Gwarigaon also completely supported liquor ban. Expressing his opinion on cleanliness campaign he said that there is a toilet in every house in our village and is being used. He said that there is a festive atmosphere in the villages also because of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan’s scheme to plant fruit-bearing saplings on the banks of Narmada.
