Kamal Nath met the Governor along with tribal MLAs: Memorandum given to the Governor to stop the increasing oppression of Dalits and tribals in the state

Since Sidhi’s urination incident, incidents of fighting with tribals and Dalits are continuously coming to the fore. Today PCC Chief Kamal Nath and Leader of Opposition Dr. Govind Singh met Governor Mangu Bhai Patel along with tribal MLAs regarding these incidents. Kamal Nath submitted a memorandum to the governor along with around 22 tribal MLAs of the Congress party. During this, former ministers Umang Singhar, Bala Bachchan, Kantilal Bhuria, MLA Dr. Ashok Marskole, Dr. Hira Alava, Harsh Vijay Gehlot and other tribal MLAs were present.

Congress MLAs wrote in their memorandum that Madhya Pradesh is such a state in the country, where the largest number of citizens of the tribal community reside. The tribal community has a remarkable contribution in the society, culture, culture and traditions of Madhya Pradesh. The tribal community is an integral and very important part of the social life of Madhya Pradesh. But, it is being seen that in the 18 years of the Bharatiya Janata Party government, the atrocities on the tribal community are increasing day by day. More than 30,000 cases of tribal atrocities have been registered under the BJP government, while a large number of such cases remain unreported.

You must have seen that recently the incident of urinating on a tribal youth came to light in Sidhi district of the state. The main accused in the incident was a BJP leader and the MLA representative of the BJP MLA. Madhya Pradesh has been ashamed in the entire country due to the said incident. Before this, the whole world saw the case of a tribal youth being tied to a vehicle and dragged to death in Neemuch. The soil of Madhya Pradesh had to witness the gruesome act of burying alive a tribal girl and 5 members of her family in Nemawar.

Within a few hours of the incident in Sidhi district, videos of two tribal youths being badly beaten up from Mhow in Indore also surfaced. Here only those incidents are mentioned which were extremely inhuman and which were witnessed by the whole world. These incidents not only put humanity to shame, but present such a picture of Madhya Pradesh in front of the whole world that it seems that Madhya Pradesh has become a state of people who persecute tribals.

A sensitive person like you can very well understand the pain, deprivation and struggle of the tribal community. But our sorrow is compounded when the atrocities on the tribals are perpetrated by the leaders of the ruling party or under their patronage. The anti-tribal attitude of Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of the state can also be understood from the fact that the budget for tribal welfare is spent on government rallies of political nature. The Scheduled Tribes lodge complaints in the Ajak Police Stations set up for them, but the budget of those police stations has also not been approved by the government. If the crime comes to the fore, the people in power start suppressing it.

In this way, the government and political system of Madhya Pradesh is creating such an atmosphere of hatred and injustice in which atrocities against the tribal community are increasing day by day. You are requested that being the constitutional head of the state, use your powers in this matter and order the government to stop tribal atrocities. The Congress party, being the main opposition party, is opposing these atrocities at every level and is providing whatever possible help to the victims of the tribal community. Your intervention is necessary because this matter is about the freedom of the tribal community, about security, about respect, about the prestige of Madhya Pradesh and about the protection of humanity.

After meeting the Governor, PCC Chief Kamal Nath said – has given a memorandum to the Governor regarding the atrocities on the tribals. Tribals are continuously being tortured in the state. Sidhi’s incident has embarrassed the state and the entire country. We have demanded the Governor to come forward himself to protect the interests of the tribals. The governor himself comes from the tribal community. We have demanded that steps should be taken to protect the tribals by coming forward. The governor has been demanded that he himself investigate all these incidents. Sooner or later the whole truth will come out.
