Industrialists put forth new investment proposals

Bhopal: Top industrialists met Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and put forth new investment proposals in Mumbai today. Experts on industries also informed them about possibilities of industrial development in the state. The industrialists described Madhya Pradesh as most suitable for investment.

Chairman of Essel Group Shri Subhash Chandra offered to make available resources for Smart City with theme of knowledge and urban bodies in joint sponsorship of the state government and his company. Chairman of Raheja Group proposed to develop an IT park with job opportunities for lakhs of youths.

Welspun Group’s CMD Shri V.K. Goenka informed about proposal for establishing a major textile industry in the state. Senior industrialist and Chairman of Force Motors Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Abhay Firodia expressed intention to open a major charitable hospital in Madhya Pradesh. Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Shri Arun Nanda proposed to establish industries on barren lands under PPP mode. He also suggested to consider major drip irrigation projects on the lines of Israeli method.

Earlier, Tata Group’s Chairman Shri Cyrus Mistry, Reliance Group’s MD Shri Satish Seth, MD of Shaporji Palonji Shri Shapor Mistry, Shri Girish Agrawal of DB Power Limited and other major industrial groups’ representatives held discussions on investment in the state with the Chief Minister.

Mukund Limited’s Joint MD Shri Suketu Shah, Geomin Industry and Jabalpur’s Shri Sudhanshu Deva also met the Chief Minister. Meetings of these captains of industry with the Chief Minister continued till late evening.
