Ideal labs to be set up in eight government colleges

Bhopal: The Higher Education Department has allocated Rs. one crore 81 lakh 61 thousand 286 to eight colleges for converting their labs into ideal labs. New equipment will be purchased for labs utilising these funds.

For developing ideal labs, a sum of Rs. 27 lakh 80 thousand has been allocated to Government Shambhunath Shukla College Shahdol, Rs. 13 lakh 88 thousand to Post-Graduate College Narsinghpur, Rs. 24 lakh 35 thousand to R.V.P.S. College, Umaria, Rs. 19 lakh 46 thousand to Vijayaraje Post-Graduate Girls College Murar in district Gwalior, Rs. 23 lakh 36 thousand to Bherulal Patidar College Mhow in Indore district, Rs. 33 lakh to Pandit Balkrishna Sharma Naveen Post-Graduate College Shajapur, Rs. 13 lakh 76 thousand 180 to Post-Graduate College Seoni and Rs. 26 lakh has been allocated to Government Post-Graduate College Damoh.

The Commissioner, Higher Education has directed concerning college principals that quality of material and equipment to be purchased for labs should be duly examined. He said that concerning principals will be held responsible for any irregularity in expenditure and payments.
