Help Flood Affected People with Humanly Approach: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan after inspecting the flood affected areas and meeting affected people who are putting up temporarily in relief camps held meeting with the senior officers of Rewa division at circuit house today. He directed the officials to undertake all the possible relief works with utmost humanity.

Shri Chouhan instructed the officials to provide cooked food for the next two days to the people of flood affected areas. After that provide 50 k.g. food grains to each affected family. He said that relief assistance to the affected people will be provided by the state government. For this survey work should be undertaken on priority. Include corporators, panchs and public representatives in the survey committee. Immediate relief will be provided after the assessment of damage.

Shri Chouhan instructed that repair work of damaged roads, bridges and culverts, electricity lines, electricity poles, potable water pipeline should be carried out on war footing. He also instructed to undertake repair work of damaged potable water filter plant in Rewa town. The necessary sum towards repair will be provided soon.

He said that the administration has worked with dedication and alertness to provide relief to the flood affected people. Society has also contributed in this. He also praised the help received from the NGOs.

Shri Chouhan asserted that there is a prediction of rains in the coming days. Hence, proper arrangements should be made to drain out the water. Ensure proper arrangements of rescue and relief work in case of heavy rains and flood. It is informed that NDRF, Army, Home guards, Police Force, Government Servants, Citizens and NGOs have contributed praiseworthily in the rescue and relief works.
