Heads of offices of MP in Delhi should play active role in serving state’s interests

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged heads of various offices of the state at Madhya Pradesh Bhavan in Delhi to play active and partnering role in serving state’s interest side by side discharge of their duties.

It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh government has entrusted responsibility of advocating state’s interests to heads of state’s offices apart from discharging their duties. The Chief Minister asked them to keep in constant touch with a senior officer at Bhopal who is concerning Nodal Officer. Effective efforts should also be made to mobilise benefits of Central schemes, assistance and cooperation. Officers in Delhi should convey information about new and other Central government schemes beneficial for Madhya Pradesh to the nodal officer so that the state can avail their benefits.

Resident Commissioner Shri R.K. Chaturvedi undertook point-wise discussions on the proposals pending with the Centre. He also informed about new arrangements made in this regard.

The Resident Commissioner also gave details about efforts being taken up with the Centre pertaining to Water Resources Department, irrigation projects, Textile Park, Swachchhata Abhiyan, Nirmal Gram Yojana, extension of facilities at railway rake points and creation of 4 new rake points in the state.

The meeting also discussed renovation of Madhya Pradesh Bhavan. IG Shri Alok Pateria posted at Madhya Pradesh Bhavan, New Delhi informed about Central assistance. Secretary to CM Shri Vivek Agrawal was also present. It was informed that the Chief Minister will review works done by office heads during his Delhi visits from time to time.
