105 blocks in Red zone, 92 fresh Covid-19 cases

A total of 105 blocks in Chhattisgarh have been identified as Red zone on Monday as the number of Covid-19 cases continued to rise, officials said.

Also, 92 fresh Covid patients were detected from various parts of the state while 66 patients were discharged after recovery. There are 30 Orange zones in the state.

Among the 92 positive cases found on Monday, 18 are from Raipur. Raipur, with 211 active cases, has emerged as the coronavirus hotspot in Chhattisgarh.

Overall, 21 are from Rajnandgaon, 18 from Raipur, 17 from Jagdalpur, 8 from Baloda Bazar, 7 from Bilaspur, 6 from Surajpur, 5 from Janjgir-Champa, 3 from Bemetara and 1 each from Durg, Mahasamund, Korba, Balrampur, Surguja, Dantewada and Narayanpur, officials said. Currently, there are 647 active cases in Chhattisgarh. The deadly virus has claimed 14 lives while 3,305 have been detected Covid positive so far, officials added.
