Govt. committed to eradicate poverty with all sections’ cooperation

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government has chalked out schemes for the development of every section of society. Maximum attention has been paid to the welfare of poor families. Shri Chouhan was speaking at Sant Ravidas Jayanti function at Naya Basera in Kotra Sultanabad area here today. Shri Chouhan extended greetings to people on Sant Ravidas Jayanti and participated in special Aarti at Sant Ravidas Mandir. He said that demands regarding development of Sant Ravidas Mandir premises will be fulfilled. Referring to teachings of Sant Ravidas, Shri Chouhan said that he saw all sections with one eye and taught that a person becomes great only through deeds.

Shri Chouhan said that all people have equal right on natural resources. His policy has been to spend maximum revenue from natural resources on development works. He said that service to the poor and their upliftment are State Government’s top priorities. Now, parents need not worry about their children’s education. They are being imparted free education from class I to XII. The State Government will provide bank guarantee on loans taken, interest subsidy and margin money for setting up self-employment units. He administered a pledge to people for completing education of their children.
Home Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta said that Madhya Pradesh is the state where maximum number of schemes are being implemented for welfare of the poor. Madhya Pradesh’s schemes have been appreciated both nationally and internationally.
A grand reception was accorded to the Chief Minister at the programme venue. He interacted with residents of Naya Basera and urged them to avail benefit of development schemes directly. He visited a number of houses for about half an hour. Local people appreciated novel schemes for development and greeted him with garlands at a number of places.
Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur, Bhopal Development Authority Chairman Shri Surendranath Singh and large number of people were present on the occasion.
