Government is making committed efforts for people’s basic amenities: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state government is making committed efforts to provide basic amenities to all sections of society in education, health and housing sectors. The government will leave no stone unturned in providing benefits of schemes to maximum number of people. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing an “Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh” convention at Harda today. On the occasion, he laid foundation of 10 works costing Rs. 11 crore 94 lakh. He made a token distribution of Rs. 115 crore 23 lakh to farmers as relief for crop loss. The Chief Minister gave away assistance worth over 52 crore 80 lakh to beneficiaries. Public Works Minister Shri Sartaj Singh was present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is paying special attention to social justice. He urged all sections of society to become partners in state’s development and public welfare works. He said that free laptops will be given to government and private schools’ students on securing above 85 percent marks. Smart phones will be given to students taking admission in colleges. The Chief Minister said that fulsome efforts are being made for women’s empowerment. He urged people to treat girls and boys equally. Shri Chouhan said that assistance under Mukhyamantri Vivah Evam Nikah Yojana has been increased from Rs. 15 thousand to Rs. 25 thousand per couple. He said that 15 lakh houses will be constructed for the poor during next 5 years.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people to plant saplings, use water judiciously, send children to schools, maintain hygiene, de-addict villages and give due respect to women. He also administered pledge to people to become partners in Madhya Pradesh’s development. The Chief Minister directed the collector to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the scheme to provide wheat, rice and iodised salt at the rate of Re. 1 per kg. Every possible effort is being made to make agriculture profitable. It is a tribute to farmers’ hard work that the state is going to get Central Government’s Krishi Karman Award consecutive for the second year.
