Government extended Arhar Procurement till April 22 now

Bhopal. At the request of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Union Government has extended the Arhar (Red Gram) procurement date once again. Now Arhar will be procured till April 22 which was fixed as April 15 earlier.

It may be mentioned that Madhya Pradesh is the largest producer of Arhar in the country. About 95 thousand metric tonne Arhar has been purchased in the current year by 74 centers of FCI, NAFED and SFAC till April 5. The Union Government had extended the procurement date at the request of CM Shri Chouhan in the past also.
