Global talent pool to be given institutional shape: CM

Bhopal: A decision was taken at Global Investors Summit to prepare a global talent pool. This was stated by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan during discussions with state’s non-resident Indian talents at his residence here today. A convention on global talent will be held soon at Bhopal in January. The meeting was attended by NRIs having come to India on the occasion of Deepawali. Technical Education & Skill Development Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta was also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is fastest growing state with immense opportunities. He said that Madhya Pradesh is the pioneer state of the country with double digit growth rate. The state has done a wonder by achieving 24.99 percent agriculture growth rate. This peak has been achieved even as the state had been registering over 20 percent agriculture growth rate for last 2 years.

Referring to objectives and results of Global Investors Summit, he said that organic farming is done in about 45 lakh hectares in India of which Madhya Pradesh’s share is over 28 lakh hectares. The state government has implemented a policy to promote organic farming. Madhya Pradesh State Organic Certification Institute has been set up. Exemption of 50 percent is given to farmers and farmers’ group in certification of organic products. Similarly, 50 percent subsidy is given to farmers on organic farming inputs.

At the meeting, Deepawali greetings were exchanged. Shri Anupam Pathak of Madhya Pradesh residing in Atlanta, USA, Shri Shivanshu Khera and Shri Shantanu from New Jersey, Shri Ashutosh Agrawal from Princeton, Shri Deep Sharma, Shri Arun Sharma from California, Shri Uday Uprit and Shri Vinod Gupta from UAE, Dubai, Shri Gunjan Pagare from Sydney, Australia and Shri Rajesh Arora and Shri Sushil Agrawal of Madhya Pradesh residing in Saudi Arabia were present on the occasion.
