Facility of voting through alternative identity documents

Bhopal: For those, who do not have EPIC cards, the Election Commission has given facility to voters to produce alternatives photo identity documents on polling day.

Voters will have to produce one of these documents for establishing their identity – passport, driving licence, personnel ID card of central or state government offices, photo-bearing passbooks of banks or post offices, PAN cards, Aadhar Cards, MNREGA Job Cards, Health Insurance Smart Card issued under Labour Ministry’s schemes and photo-bearing pension cards.

District election officers have been asked to complete distribution of voter slips 5 days before polling during 3-phase Lok Sabha elections in the state on April 10, 17 and 24. Booth level officers (BLOs) will distribute voter slips door to door. BLOs have also been asked to prepare lists of undistributed voter slips.
