Entire world visible as single family: CM
Bhopal. Long ago, I had studied Shri Arthur Llewellyn Basham’s book ‘The Wonder That Was India’. The book throws light on wonderful specialities of India. Dr. Ishwari Prasad also endorses Indian culture of unity in diversity. That means that our country boasts of several things not found anywhere else in the world. This very vast canvas of Indian culture is visible during Simhastha Mahakumbh in Lord Mahakal’s city Ujjain these days. Here, entire world is visible like single family.
Our country and culture respects all ideologies. Some people believe in qualified God and worship idols. Some others argue that God cannot abide in an idol, He is Omnipresent. Another ideology says that there is no objection if one believes in formless God and does not believe in form. It is only the soil of India where there is respect for all ideologies.
I have seen all these things on the holy land of Ujjain. Most eminent saints are present in Simhastha. I was overwhelmed by the scenario there. A thing I wish to share with you is that there are saints of different ideologies including Dwaitwadi, Adwaitwadi and Vishishtadwaitwadi. But I found no differences among them. All are moving ahead shoulder to shoulder. There is confluence of different streams of ideologies at Ujjain. Harmony and equality is exemplary there. An atmosphere prevails where no one is bigger or smaller. Supremacy and egoism is not visible. All are in the shelter of Bhootbhawan Lord Shri Mahakal. All are wishing for welfare of all.
When I visited public feasts, I found that all were getting Prasadi without any discrimination. Caste and creed’s discrimination had become redundant and devotion and service were supreme. No one asks as to who cooked the food, who is serving and who are the people sitting in queues. There is absolutely no discrimination. This is the true spirit of India. Not only domestic, but large number of foreigner devotees have also come. Attired in Indian attires, having applied Tilak and singing Hare Krishna bhajan. Seeing them in the state of bliss, I realised that it is Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam.

This is mine, that is yours! This is the thinking of narrow minded people. Large hearted are those who say that entire world is single family. Single consciousness permeates all, whose live demonstration is being witnessed during Simhastha.
This Simhastha is unique. In my opinion, concept of finding elixir now is to move forward in unison towards global welfare. We are endeavouring for the same through ideological Kumbh. I hope that elixir of solution to all problems will come out of this very churning.
