Ensure every possible measure to supply drinking water: Rajendra Shukla
Bhopal. Energy, Mineral Resources and Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has directed to ensure every possible measure to supply drinking water in the district keeping in view crisis due to scanty rainfall and drought. Shri Shukla gave these directives in a meeting of District Planning Committee at Satna today. Shri Shukla said that drinking water should be supplied by increasing length of riser pipe or fixing single-phase motor to handpumps. He said that water should also be transported, if needed.
Shri Shukla also held detailed discussions on distribution of relief against crop loss due to hailstorm, schemes for farmers’ welfare and proposed redensification of Sabzi Mandi and old Polytechnic Campus. He directed to increase target of Indira Aawas Yojana and constructing a composite building of Zila Panchayat.
MP Shri Ganesh Singh, MLAs Sarvshri Harsh Singh, Narayan Tripathi, Yadvendra Singh, Smt. Usha Choudhary, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Sudha Singh, Mayor Smt. Mamta Pandey and committee’s members attended the meeting.
Bhumi Poojan for strengthening of road
Minister Shri Shukla performed Bhumi Poojan for strengthening of road from Rampur Baghelan to Amarpatan. A sum of Rs. 25 crore will be spent on construction of this 25 km long road. He said that old roads of national highway of bypass from Bela-Satna 4-lane road will also be maintained.
