Ensure completion of Simhastha works by December
Bhopal. Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa reviewed progress of works related to Simhastha at Mantralaya here today. He sought information specially regarding works being undertaken by Urban Development & Environment, PWD, PHE, Forest and Narmada Valley Development departments. He also reviewed works of Health, Tourism and Culture departments, Ujjain Municipal Corporation and Ujjain Development Authority. Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of these departments attended the meeting.
The Chief Secretary directed concerning departments and agencies to complete all works by December 2015. Concerning departments gave information about infrastructural works completed for Simhastha at Ujjain so far.
The Chief Secretary said that all sanctioned works should be completed without delay to hold prestigious Simhastha event. For this, concerning departments should also post necessary staff. Officers should be posted and entrusted responsibility to ensure works’ completion.
The meeting was informed that construction works are progressing at a rapid pace for flow of clean water in Kshipra river, making ghats convenient and beautiful, construction of roads and bridges, arrangements for urinals and toilets, hospitals, additional rooms in tourist hostel, media centres, exhibition galleries, plantation, repair of temples and other construction works. Home Department is also making necessary security arrangements for Simhastha. Department-wise progress of works was undertaken at the meeting.
