Election Committee meeting at BJP state office: CM attended; Lok Sabha candidates may be declared first in Chhindwara, Morena, Hoshangabad

The Election Management Committee meeting is going on in the state office of Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also attended this meeting. After being in the meeting for about 2 hours, he left for Ujjain. MP BJP President VD Sharma, State Lok Sabha in-charge Dr. Mahendra Singh, Co-in-charge Satish Upadhyay and State Organization General Secretary Hitanand Sharma are brainstorming for the Lok Sabha candidate.

There was a churning in the CM House late on Wednesday night regarding the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Lok Sabha election in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Mahendra Singh and co-in-charge Satish Upadhyay had a long discussion for 2 hours with CM Yadav, State Organization General Secretary Hitanand Sharma and State President VD Sharma.

It was decided in the meeting that opinion polling would be conducted for those Lok Sabha seats where no consensus has been reached. Apart from the state in-charge, co-in-charge and state president, the chief officers of the organization will find a winning and universally accepted name by discussing with the MLAs of the Lok Sabha constituency, district heads and officials of the organization. Polling is to be held for Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar, Vidisha, Guna, Hoshangabad, Narsinghpur, Morena, Sidhi, Rewa and Satna seats.

 

Sources say that the central leadership will decide on the selection of candidates for the seats of MP-turned-MLA party leaders. BJP is preparing to declare its candidates first in Hoshangabad, Narsinghpur, Morena, Sidhi and Chhindwara. Narendra Singh Tomar (Morena), Rakesh Singh (Jabalpur), Rao Uday Pratap Singh (Hoshangabad), Reeti Pathak (Sidhi), Prahlad Singh Patel (Damoh) have become MLAs.

In the meeting held at CM House, it was also discussed that when and where the visit, road show and public meeting of which leader is to be conducted. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National President JP Nadda, there was also discussion about scheduling the programs of all the Union Ministers including Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Bhupendra Yadav, Ashwini Vaishnav.

 

Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting Madhya Pradesh on 25 February. He will take the meeting of Gwalior cluster. In this cluster, the work will be reviewed by all the responsible people including Lok Sabha in-charges and convenors of Bhind, Morena, Gwalior and Guna Lok Sabha seats. After Gwalior, Shah will come to Khajuraho and address the public meeting. After this we will reach Bhopal in the evening. Here we will review the work done so far for the upcoming Lok Sabha seats in Bhopal cluster. Shah will also give information about upcoming programs.
