The Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that educational institutions of the country should focus on the physical development also along with the intellectual development of students. They must also
be given physical education and yoga education along with technical education. He said that education makes a man civilized, cultured and refined. The aim of education is to serve the family, society and
country. Man becomes a responsible citizen of the country through education. Vice President Naidu said this while addressing students and teachers at the second convocation ceremony of Vaishnav
Vidyapeeth University, Indore today.
Naidu said that education, hospital and politics are the fields of social service. Social service is the essence of all religions. Vaishnav Sahayak Trust has been doing commendable work for the last 135
years while working on the formula of ‘No profit-No loss’ through school, college, hospital and technical education.

Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaha in Indian culture
Naidu said that Indian culture envisages ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaha, Sarva Santu Niramaya’, Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu, Maa Kashchit Dukh Bhag Bhavet’. Indian culture teaches us to live and eat together.
Thousands of years ago, Acharya Chanakya had said, ‘Ayam nijaha: Paraveti, Gadana, Laghuchetasam, Udaarcharitanaam Tu Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.’ He considered the entire earth as family in that era.
Acharya Chanakya was the first economist in the world to introduce the tax system.

India was the Vishwaguru in ancient times
He said that India was the world guru in ancient times. Nalanda and Takshashila were world class universities with more than 10 thousand students. In ancient India, there have been well-read scholars like
Sushruta, Dhanvantari, Bhaskaracharya and Varahamihira. Acharya Sushruta told the world about the procedure of general and plastic surgery for the first time. In the Middle Ages, our country became a slave to
the Mughals and the British. They looted and betrayed this country, due to which we lagged behind. Now we want to make India the third largest economy in the world through liberalization, privatization, standups
and startups. India has extraordinary managers like Indira Nui and Sundar Pichai.

Healthy body and mind with yoga
The Vice President said that Yoga has been declared compulsory education in Chile and Guatemala. He said that yoga is not a political or religious programme. Yoga keeps the body and mind healthy.
Environmental reform is the biggest challenge in today’s era. There is need to work in the field of tree plantation and protection of animals. Considering the increasing population of the country, water conservation
and water augmentation is necessary. Human beings will be more healthy in natural environment than in air conditioning. A healthy mind resides only in a healthy body.

India will become world guru soon- Governor
Governor Lalji Tandon said that India’s history has been glorious. India has been a world guru and will soon become a world guru again. Maharishis of India discovered zero, based on which computer and
internet systems are running today. Surgery, economics and tax system etc. have already been discovered in ancient India.
Former Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan said that a social organization named Vaishnav Sahayak Trust has been running several schools, hospitals, colleges and universities successfully since
135 years. This is an exemplary step.
The Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Tulsiram Silavat said that the aim of education should be innovation. No nation can progress without education. Today, the students who are going out of this
university will start a new life now. Change is the law of nature. Only by upgradation in the technical field can India become a superpower. Higher Education Minister Jitu Patwari said that the students are the
future of the country.
Good education can make a human being a better person, but education should be employment oriented. The aim of education is to give good values ​​to the students and to connect the society.
The Vice President Naidu gave the Gold Medal to the students for obtaining the highest position in technical and traditional courses.
The Chancellor of Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, Purushottam Das Pasari and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Upinder Dhar also addressed the ceremony.
