Education of Madhya Pradesh should be exemplary

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged teachers in the state to work dedicatedly and assure people of the state that they would not shy away from duties on receiving rights. They should establish such teaching arrangements that example of Madhya Pradesh’s education is given in the country and abroad. He said that government and teachers should join hands for this. Teachers should be concerned about teaching. Government will be concerned for them. The Chief Minister was addressing a massive delegation of teachers who visited CM House here today to express gratitude for given 6th Pay Scale to them with effect from January 1, 2016.

The Chief Minister said that teachers will be given maximum respect and rights in the state. Teachers cannot be compared with other government servants. A mistake by an employee spoils one work while teacher’s mistake destroys an entire generation. He said that a country or state is not formed with bricks and mortar, but with people. A strong state is where citizens are healthy and educated. He said that direct contact will be established between government and teachers. Arrangements for discussions every 4 months will be made to solve teachers’ problems. A convention will be held to discuss quality education.

The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh cannot be built without teachers. It is responsibility of government school teachers to brighten future of children belonging to poor and middle income groups. They have did this work excellently. As many as 140 SC and ST students of government schools have been selected in IIT and other prestigious national educational institutes. He said that he has cordial relations with teachers. He used to consider Shikshakarmi culture as a grave mistake even when he was not in power. This system aimed at saving money which eroded education system of the state. He said that money should not be save when it comes to building future generations. That is why he has made arrangements to abolish Shikshakarmi culture, formulate Adhyapak cadre, improve service conditions & honorarium and evolve a permanent system to upward revision of salaries. He said that it is endeavour of the state government that teachers be happy, teach dedicatedly and made Madhya Pradesh number one state.

Former Chairman of Gau Samwardhan Board Shri Shiv Chaube said that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has displayed gesture of cordiality and honour towards teachers. This has overwhelmed teaching fraternity.
