Do Not Raise Army of Self Centered Youths without Moral Education: Pawaiyya
Bhopal. Minister for Higher Education Shri Jaibhan Singh Pawaiyya said that we should not raise a team of self centered youths without moral education. He laid emphasis on preparing higher education courses in Hindi and other Indian languages in the country at meeting of Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE).
Shri Pawaiyya speaking at the meeting chaired by the Union Minister for Human Resources Development Shri Prakash Javadekar at Vigyan Bhavan – New Delhi, said that there was a target of literacy earlier. Now we are making efforts in the direction of quality and skill development. It is a time to think on building a youth power who are dedicated towards the country in the universities and college campuses.
Speaking about slogan raised against India in some college campuses of India, Shri Pawaiyya said that it should be considered seriously. Not only traditional education, but employment oriented education and moral education to build national character should be incorporated as important part in the new education policy. Mentioning about the Former President of India Shri A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam message to the nation on January 26, 2006, he said that education is incomplete without attachment of human to human and human to nature beside life style to lead life and linking to the grand culture and rituals of nation.
Shri Pawaiyya raised objection for distributing literature in English language in the meeting. He further said that National language should be used in meetings of National levels, but translation can be permitted. Giving example of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Pawaiyya said that the state has not only established Atal Bihari Bajpai Hindi University but has initiated historical step to conduct engineering studies in Hindi language. He further mentioned that small countries which have not adopted English have continued Hindi. Shri Pawaiyya emphasized to expand the purview of national service scheme beside resources keeping in view the practical education. He urged to link all with NSS upto Bachelor degree.
