Dialysis machines to be installed in every district hospital
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to install dialysis machines in every district hospital for free of cost treatment of kidney patients. He said that due to absence of these machines at the district level, patients have to visit major cities for speciality facility, which consumes time and increases expenses. Arrangement of dialysis machines at district hospital will give relief to patients. He also directed to arrange necessary staff for operation and maintenance of dialysis machines.
Shri Chouhan was undertaking quarterly review of Health Department’s activities at Mantralaya here today.
Directing to improve process of sanctioning funds from Rajya Beemari Sahayata Kosh for treatment of poor patients, the Chief Minister said that a process should be chalked out to sanction funds on the basis of estimated expenditure on treatment so that treatment does not remain incomplete due to lack of funds.
The Chief Minister directed to utilise budget allocated for health services efficiently. In view of encouraging results of Neonatal Intensive Care Units, the Chief Minister to further strengthen these units in all the districts. He said that it is possible through persuasion that targeted sections of society adopt family planning methods. He directed to launch a widespread campaign for vaccination of mothers and infants. It was informed at the meeting that a software has been evolved for vaccination of mothers and infants in which a time-table of compulsory vaccinations is chalked out. The time-table is provided to village health workers. The software has made vaccination of children easy.
Directing to make full preparations for prevention of diseases in the area prone to spread of malaria and other diseases, the Chief Minister stressed the need for strengthening information set-up. He also instructed to chalk out a special plan to keep TB and leprosy under complete control.
Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, Principal Secretary Health Shri Praveer Krishna, Director of National Rural Health Mission Shri Ravindra Pastor and senior officers were present on the occasion.
