DFID, UK to support M.P. in development projects

Bhopal. The Department for Internatioinal Development United Kingdom will extend all cooperation and support for the development programmes of Madhya Pradesh specially in skill development and low cost housing projects. Many companies will also come to Madhya Pradesh as partner in development. United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for International Development Smt. Priti Patel assured this to the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his two-day visit to London. Shri Chouhan will be arriving Bhopal in the afternoon of September 29.

Addressing the members of the UK branch of the Friends of Madhya Pradesh Shri Chouhan urged them to be in touch with Madhya Pradesh so that their expertise and knowledge could be harnessed for the benefit of people of the State.

The Chief Minister visited London in response to an invitation from  Smt. Priti Patel to study smart city management strategies and explore possibilities of cooperation in skill development. During his stay, he also met many investors and invited them to the State. He was accompanied by the Minister for Industries Shri Rajendra Shukla.

The Chief Minister assured the prospective investors that they will not face any obstacle and would be received as a friend.

The growth story of Madhya Pradesh impressed the British investors and companies. Addressing a business seminar on investment potential in the State, Shri Chouhan underlined state’s phenomenal development in the last one decade. Speaking about the striking features of the State, he said that Madhya Pradesh is an Island of Peace. There is no law and order problem. Investors will find all the facilities and cooperation.

The Chief Minister also held one-to-one dialogue with UK.s companies and industrialists mainly De La Rue Group, Shri Martin and Shri Rabin Mecentji Sudrlend, Shri Tim Buxton and Shri Naraman Moltu, Shri Nathuram Puri.
