Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya to be model university

Bhopal: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya will be made a model university. Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta gave directives regarding this to the vice-chancellor and departmental officers. He also saw a presentation on the action plan chalked out by the university.

Shri Gupta said that priority points should be sorted from the action plan and implemented within time-limit. Shri Gupta said that all universities should share each other’s good works. He said that a well thought out policy should be chalked out to attract students from other countries. Shri Gupta also directed to construct systematic hostels and houses.

Shri Gupta directed that community living should also be taught in the university. He said that all universities should chalk out a plan to patent researches.

Bhopal to have state-level library

Shri Gupta said that a state-level library should be constructed at Bhopal where publications and research papers of all universities should be kept.

University’s vice-chancellor Shri D.P. Singh informed about the action plan. He also threw light on top ten universities in the world and India.

Minister of State for Higher Education Shri Deepak Joshi, Principal Secretary Higher Education Shri K.K. Singh, Commissioner Higher Education Shri Sachin Sinha and other officers were present on the occasion.
