Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore makes Special Mention about Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal. The Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Shri Tharman Shanmugaratnam while expressing his views on the subject “India in Global Economy” in the First Transforming India Lecture Series held at New Delhi today made special mention of Madhya Pradesh as regard to the unique initiatives taken by the state in the field of Rural Health and Integrated Child Development. He termed the efforts as the best example of good governance.
It may be mentioned that Shri Tharman Shanmugaratnam is a renowned and established person for his intellectual talent in the entire world. He has special competency in economics. Credit for rejuvenating Singapore’s economy goes to Shri Shanmugaratnam. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Secretaries of the Indian Government and Chief Secretaries of all the states were present on the occasion of lecture.
It is to be highlighted that an initiative to hold lecture series was taken by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with an objective to share the experiences related to the development of India by inviting renowned specialists.
During the lecture, concrete and concerted efforts made towards the good governance under the leadership of the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan were lauded. Chief Secretary Shri Antony De Sa was present on the occasion.
