Constitutional rights will not be transgressed: CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday assured a delegation of the Chhattisgarh Sarva Adivasi Samaj that constitutional rights of the community will not be allowed to be violated.
The delegation led by Parliamentary Secretary Shishupal Sori made a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister.
The delegation held a discussion in detail with the Chief Minister on the issue of reservation of the reserved category in promotion and also submitted a memorandum.
Baghel said a committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to hold consultations and invite suggestions from social organizations and officials on the demands and problems of the reserved category.
The panel will deliberate on the demands and on the basis of the recommendations the state government will take necessary steps, he added.
The delegation pointed out that in many departments, during the promotion process the reservation roster rule is not being followed. It will affect the interest of the reserved category.
