Congress leader suicide after defeat

BHOPAL: On Monday The body of a young local Congress leader of Madhya Pradesh was found near Bhopal-Sehore railway track and the police suspect that he committed suicide upset over his party’s drubbing at the just-concluded civic body polls.

Pawar’s family members said he was in a state of shock after the poll results were declared on January 8 in which Congress was humbled by BJP. The young leader was actively involved in the civic body elections in Sehore.

Police sources said, The body of Pratap Pawar (31) was found near the rail track at village Pachama. Before taking the extreme step, Pawar had talked to his wife, they added.
