Conducive atmosphere to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is conducive atmosphere for establishment of industries in Madhya Pradesh. He said that due to Investors Meet in the state during previous years, major industrial houses have evinced interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh and establishing their units in the state. The Chief Minister was addressing a function after laying foundation stone of new unit of Vacmet India at Ujjayani in Dhar district today. The company will invest Rs. 1580 crore on this unit through which about 8000 persons will get jobs. First of the 3 phases of the unit will be completed by January 2017. All 3 phases will be completed in 5 years.

The Chief Minister said that agriculture is state government’s top priority, but industries along with agriculture are also necessary. Youths will get jobs only through industries. He said that his dream and resolve is that youths of state get jobs in the state itself. Shri Chouhan said that Vacmet company’s unit is proof that major industries are coming to the state. He informed that during his Japan visit, investors there had wished for Japanese township in the state. For this, it has been decided to make available land at Pitahmpur. The Chief Minister told officers of Vacmet company to give jobs to local people. During the period of construction of the unit, the company can prepare local youths for job by imparting them training as per its requirement. Regarding demands mentioned in memorandum of MLA Smt. Nina-Vikram Verma, the Chief Minister said that process will be undertaken to convert Majra-Tolas to revenue villages. Former Union Minister Shri Vikram Verma also spoke on the occasion.

Unit to be set up on 65 acres

Chairman & MD Shri Ramesh Chandra Agrawal informed that the company is producing polymer and BOPP film since 1993. At present, its 4 units are located at Chhata near Mathura and fifth one is being established at Ujjayani. The unit will produce BOPP film, which is used in food packaging, industrial packaging, labeling and electrical insulation. He said that the company is exporting the film to about 80 countries.
