Committee of doctors to improve medical arrangements: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a committee of doctors will be constituted to suggest improvements in medical arrangements. Reforms will be undertaken on recommendations of this committee. The Chief Minister was addressing diamond jubilee function of Gandhi Medical College here today.

The Chief Minister said that efforts are being made constantly for further expansion of medical facilities in the state. Arrangements for free of cost medicines and paramedical tests have been made in all government hospitals. Dialysis facility will be started in all district hospitals from ensuing January 26. Chemotherapy facility will also be made available in identified government hospitals. It has been decided to open 7 new medical colleges in the state. Service rules have been liberlised to remove shortage of doctors in the state. Arrangements have been made to ensure that common people get low-cost and easy treatment.

He said that Madhya Pradesh is pioneer in economic growth rate in the country. Its agriculture growth rate is also highest in the country. State has achieved major progress in road, power and infrastructure sectors.

Shri Chouhan said that Gandhi Medical College has an illustrious history. Its newly decorated auditorium will be given even better shape with the assistance of college’s alumni

Dr. C.G. Chaubal delivered the welcome address. MP Dr. Vijaylaxmi Sadho, DR. G.S. Patel, Dr. H.S. Trivedi, Dr. Anup Hajela, Dr. Lunawat and large number of medical college’s alumni were present on the occasion.
