CM takes stock of TAX

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the last month of the financial year is important from the point of view of collection of various taxes. The departments have collected more tax than last year. He told to put in more efforts this month for better achievements at the end of the financial year.

Chief Minister Chouhan today reviewed the work of revenue collecting departments and efforts to achieve the target in the Sankalp Kaksh of Samatva Bhavan. Senior officers of the departments including Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains were present. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora joined virtually.

Chief Minister Chouhan sought information about the work done so far for the collection of taxes by the VAT, GST including Excise, Stamp Registration, Mineral, Transport, Energy, Forest, Public Property Management, Revenue, Water Resources and Narmada Valley Development Departments in the state.

The trend of regular payment of taxes has developed in the business industry and among the common people in the state. A large part of the amount received from taxes is spent in public welfare.
