CM reviews preparations for Simhastha- 2016

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan began the New Year with intensive review of Simhastha 2016 at Mantralaya here today. Shri Chouhan asked the officers concerned to make Simhastha 2016 a global religious forum for spreading spiritual messages among the global community on environment, value based life style, women empowerment and religious teachings of unity and harmony. He instructed the chief secretary to draw out a calendar of global events of discussions and symposia and seek cooperation of committed non-official organizations, subject experts in organizing the Simhastha 2016.

Addressing the review meeting, Shri Chouhan gave instructions for maintaining quality of infrastructure building works saying that quality should never be compromised. He gave instructions to start a series of global level symposia and seminars from April this year. He said that an intensive cleanliness campaign could be launched for Rudra Sagar and Kshir Sagar ensuring participation of people at large scale. He said he would participate in the cleanliness campaign.

It was informed that the civic infrastructure to be built for Simhastha 2016 will remain permanently. He asked the concerning officers to deal with encroachment issues with utter sensitivity saying that participation of all community and religious heads is a must. He said that there should be dialogues with them at regular intervals to achieve consensus on different issues.

The meeting was informed that all infrastructure building works are going on at pace satisfactorily. The Chief Minister gave instructions for ensuring efficient utilization of budget and fill key posts in concerning departments and agencies. He said that cooperation of NGOs and communities in organizing Simhastha 2016 should also be ensured.

Those who attended the meeting included Minister for Urban Administration Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister for School Education Shri Paras Jain, Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, Principal Secretary to C.M. Shri S. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary Urban Administration Shri S. N. Mishra and senior officers.
