CM meets Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. The Chief Minister gave an account to the Prime Minister about preparations for Simhastha-2016. Shri Chouhan submitted to the Prime Minister state government’s action plan for doubling income from agriculture by year 2022.

Shri Chouhan informed that along with holy baths, an ideological seminar is also being held during Simhastha this time. From ancient times, holy baths were important for Kumbh, but this time discussions on various current issues will also be held during Mahakumbh along with holy baths, which would help solve various problems facing the world.

Shri Chouhan informed that ideological seminar will be held on May 12, 13 and 14, 2016, which will be attended by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. During ideological seminar, various human welfare issues will be discussed. Besides, 4 new subjects will also be added. At Shakti Kumbh, women’s empowerment will be extensively discussed. At Krishi Kumbh, discussions will also be held on agriculture-related issues as well as organic farming. The third subject of discussions will be changing scenario of village and cottage industries and crisis being faced by small and medium entrepreneurs connected with them. Besides, discussions on Swachchhata Abhiyan Kumbh will also be held at the seminar and solutions to all these problems will also be found.

On the occasion of declaring the seminar closed by the Prime Minister, Simhastha Declaration containing suggestions for solution to problems will be issued.

Shri Chouhan apprised Prime Minister Shri Modi of preparations for function to mark 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar at Mhow on April 14. At the function, Prime Minister Shri Modi will address a massive gathering. Later, the Prime Minister will inaugurate e-mandi at Bhopal.
