CM meets Prime Minister Shri Modi

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi today and congratulated him for introducing new crop insurance scheme. Shri Chouhan said that this is a historic scheme in which special attention has been paid to every aspect and issues of farmers and agriculture in independent India. Through the scheme, every aspect and problem pertaining to farmers and agriculture will be solved after a close study.

During about half an hour meeting, the Chief Minister congratulated the Prime Minister for concretizing new crop insurance scheme. The Chief Minister also invited the Prime Minister to be chief guest at proposed Farmers Convention. Shri Chouhan said that farmers of the state want to felicitate the Prime Minister for introducing new crop insurance scheme.

Shri Chouhan also informed Prime Minister Shri Modi about conferment of Krishi Karman Award to Madhya Pradesh for consecutive 4th year.

Shri Chouhan gave detailed information about flagship schemes being implemented in the state. He also informed about MNREGA, Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan etc. Shri Chouhan informed that like Start-up Fund Scheme launched by Central government, the state government has also started a similar scheme for entrepreneurs in the state. Shri Chouhan apprised the Prime Minister of preparations for Simhastha Kumbh from April 22, 2016 at Ujjain.
