CM gives Rs. 135 crore gifts to Jhabua

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced the engineering college to be opened at Jhabua will be named after late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and model college after former MP late Shri Dilip Singh Bhuria. He also announced to increase amount under free of cost cycles to students to Rs. 3 thousand. Shri Chouhan was addressing students’ convention at Government Post Graduate College Jhabua today. He also laid foundation of new engineering college building costing Rs. 42 crore and new building of Model College costing Rs. 12 crore. The Chief Minister laid foundation and inaugurated 26 works costing Rs. 135 crore.

Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, Tribal Welfare Minister Shri Gyan Singh, Minister in-charge of district Shri Antar Singh Arya and MLAs were also present.

The Chief Minister said that students should always set lofty targets and day-dream like late Dr. Kalam. He said that he had dreamt that state’s students get selected in IIT, medical, CLAT, IAS and IPS. By securing top 3 positions in IIT, state’s students have fulfilled this dream. As many as 140 SC and ST students from various parts of Madhya Pradesh had got selected in IIT.

On demand of local MLA, the Chief Minister announced to bring water of Narmada link irrigation project upto Jhabua. If not possible through canal, Narmada water will be brought to Jhabua through pipeline. The Chief Minister also announced to new government college at Ranapur in Jhabua, Rs. 2 crore for development works of Krishi Upaj Mandis of Jhabua and Ranapur, Rs. 10 crore for roads in Jhabua, construction of town hall, Rs. 1.50 crore to construct auditorium, library building and books for students at Jhabua and RS. 40 lakh for construction of kund, stop dam and ghat at Devjhiri. Shri Chouhan felicitated students of Jhabua polytechnic college who have secured over 75 percent marks.
