CM gives Rs. 135 crore gifts to Bina

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave away a number of gifts at Antyodaya Mela held at Bina in Sagar district today. He inaugurated and laid foundation stones of construction works costing Rs. 135 crore. He gave away benefits worth Rs. 28 crore to 6702 beneficiaries under various government schemes. The Chief Minister assured to provide adequate funds for including Bina town’s drinking water scheme under MSMT Scheme.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that earlier it was decided to develop the government land along the road from Bina to Bhopal as industrial corridor. Now, it has also been decided to develop roadside government land from Bina to Sagar as industrial corridor. The State Government will continue to take up the matter of providing jobs to local people in Bina refinery with the Union Government. He said that as per the State Government’s new industrial policy, industries will have to provide 50 percent jobs to local people. He appealed to youths to set up business and industries. Upto Rs. 25 lakh loan will be provided to them under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana.
Shri Chouhan said that irrigation capacity in Bundelkhand region will be expanded further. The State Government has made a number of efforts to make agriculture profitable. Loans for purchasing seeds and fertilisers are being provided at the rate of zero percent interest. During previous years, only 7.5 lakh hectare was under irrigation in the state, which has been increased to 24 lakh hectare now. Shri Chouhan said that poor people will be provided wheat at the rate of Rs. 1 kg and rice at Rs. 2 per kg from June 1. He said wheat is being procured from farmers at the rate of Rs. 1500 per kg by given bonus of Rs. 150 per quintal by the State Government.
He informed that free medicines and pathology tests are being provided to people in government hospitals. Power will be supplied for 24-hours from June. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana has been launched to free youths from unemployment . Upto Rs. 50 thousand loan including Rs. 20 subsidy will be provided to craftspersons to expand their business.
At the function, Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava said that situation of roads and power was bad 9 years ago. The existing State Government has redressed these problems. MP Sri Bhupendra Singh the government had given administrative sanction to Bina river project in year 2010 and has sent the proposal to the Union Government after completing all the formalities. If the project is sanctioned, 99 villages in Bina, 299 in Kurwai and about 100 villages in Surkhi will be irrigated. Local MLA Shri Vinod Panthi also addressed the programme.
The Chief Minister also benefited as a token two beneficiaries each of Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana, Mukhyamantri Aawas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana. MLAs Shri Shailendra Jain and Shri Pradeep Laria, Nagar Palika Chairperson Smt. Parwati Rai, Mandi Chairperson Smt. Preeti Nayak, other public representatives and large number of people were present on the occasion.
