CM discussed MP’s development strategy with world bank officials

New York: On the first day of his USA visit on October 1, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan held meetings with World Bank officers till late night.

As per Indian standard time, these meetings in various phases continued till late night. The series of meetings started at 9.15 am US standard time with welcome accorded to the Chief Minister and delegation accompanying him by World Bank’s South Asia Executive Vice-President and Director Implementation Shri Akihiko Nishio.

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan held discussions with World Bank’s senior officers including regional directors and regional managers throughout the day on strategy for Madhya Pradesh’s development. He also discussed works being carried out in Madhya Pradesh in health, education, social security, sanitation, clean drinking water, rural development and transport sectors. World Bank South Asia regional directors and regional managers and experts of Indian affairs also participated in the meetings held on these issues till 6.30 pm.
