Chalk out action plan on results of Krishi Manthan at earliest

Bhopal. Draft of law in favour of Bataidars replacing Land Revenue Code Act has been prepared and would be placed before next cabinet meeting for discussions and approval. It was informed that on World Soil Health Day, programmes will be held in all districts on December 5. On the day, 1.25 lakh soil health cards will be distributed. The Chief Minister would himself launch the process.

This was informed at a high level meeting convened at Mantralaya here today to review results of Krishi Manthan-2015. Undertaking review, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed concerning departments to chalk out action plans at the earliest. The Chief Minister held point-wise discussions on 21 conclusion of Krishi Manthan and finalized action plans. Concerning departments informed the Chief Minister about action taken and future action plans on the recommendations.

The Chief Minister said that conclusions of Krishi Manthan must be implemented immediately at any cost in favour of farmers. About extension of campaign to provide permanent pump connections to farmers it was informed that it would be launched soon. Subsidy will be given on solar pump. AC pumps of 2, 3 and 5 horsepower would be covered under the scheme. As many as 4000 solar pumps will be provided during year 2015-16 at 36 percent subsidy. All farmers will be registered online. TOR has been prepared for constituting APEDA-like organization of Central Government for export of horticulture crops. Guidance has been sought from Central Government in this regard. During discussions on abolishing subsidy schemes involving small amounts, it was informed that the number of such schemes is 103 which did not have widespread impact and benefit. Such schemes will either be abolished or their form will be changed. It was informed that a campaign has been started in cooperative banks to connect farmers with cooperative movement. It would continue till December 31. SMS-based information system for farmers will be started by April next year,.

The Chief Minister directed for efforts to specially motivate youths for entrepreneurship at Gram Panchayat level and motivate them to set up food processing units. For this, he directed to organize conventions of youths at district level. He also directed to prescribed Milk Route and Vegetable Route. It was informed that arrangements for fruits and flowers are being made at 132 Mandis in the state. The Chief Minister directed fresh rate-lists should be displayed at these Mandis so that farmers do not suffer any loss and get fair prices.

Directing to re-start Jalabhishek Abhiyan with due preparation, the Chief Minister said that attention should be paid to micro irrigation while chalking out district level irrigation schemes. Shri Chouhan directed to develop demonstration farms and impart training to Kisan Mitras and Kisan Didis. He directed to send Agriculture Department staff in the field. The meeting was informed that discussions will be held on establishment of Food Processing Departments in Jabalpur Agriculture University and Post-Harvest Management through agriculture science technology.
