Central government extending maximum assistance MP for development of railways: CM

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Central government is extending maximum cooperation to Madhya Pradesh for development of railways. He said that Rs. 180 crore was sanctioned to lay 80 km long Bhind-Lahar-Kauch railway line. Bhind-Itawa and Bhind-Lahar-Kauch railway line will expedite economy and growth of the area. Chouhan was addressing flagging off ceremony of Bhind-Itawa passenger train on premises of Bhind railway station today. Chief Minister Chouhan, Union Steel and Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha flagged off the passenger train on Bhind-Itawa line.

The Chief Minister said that efforts would be made to construct polyhouses and start production of fruits in Bhind district. He said that necessary steps would be initiated for Kanera irrigation project in the district. As a result, every field in the district will get water. Chouhan said that initiative has been taken to supply irrigation water through canals. Due to it, farmers of the area surpassing Punjab and Haryana in advance farming and increasing their incomes. He said that youths of Bhind district are guarding borders of the country with braveness. An Army School will be opened at Bhind for next generation.

Narendra Singh Tomar said that Bhind-Itawa have been connected with railway facility after a long wait. Doors of progress through rail facility are being opened continuously in the area. He said that now the area will be directly connected to Kolkata and Mumbai.

Union MoS for Railways Sinha said that through passenger train, people of the area will be connected with Delhi, Chennai and Hawda to give fillip to their business. Sinha said that local MP Dr. Bhagirath Prasad has played significant role in introduction of passenger train. He said that Gwalior-Guna railway section will be electrified. Sinha said that other states of the country are emulating schemes launched by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Minister of State for GAD Lal Singh Arya, local MP Dr. Bhagirath Prasad and MLA Narendra Singh Kushwaha also spoke on the occasion. General Manager North-Central Railway Allahabad A.K. Saxena proposed a vote of thanks. At the function, Chief Minister Chouhan welcomed newborn girls under Swagatam Laxmi Yojana. A booklet highlighting schemes was also released.

 

CM gives many gifts to Bhind district

Chief Minister Chouhan announced a number of gifts for Bhind district including opening of Army School at Bhind, construction of road from Subhash trisection to Indira Gandhi crossing, Kanera irrigation project’s initiation, sewer line costing Rs. 102 crore in city, Rs. 45 crore for construction of Tehangur-Hilgawan bridge, Rs. 27 crore 45 lakh for houses to the urban poor and Rs. 90 crore for strengthening of canals.
