Central awareness observers touring districts

Bhopal: Chief Election Commissioner of India has appointed 17 Central awareness observers to monitor voter education facilities and media-related issues. All these observers are touring areas in the districts under their charge. They are also inspecting voter assistance centres, voter facilitation centres and common service centres.

The commission has appointed Shri Arimardan Singh as awareness observer for Sheopur, Morena and Shivpuri, Shri Ashish Goyal Ratlam, Mandsaur and Neemuch and Shri B. Narayan Tikamgarh, Sagar and Chhatarpur district. Similarly, Shri D.M Kakadiya has been deployed as observer for Hoshangabad, Sehore and Dewas, Shri L. Madhunag Panna, Satna and Damoh, Shri M. Nagendra Swami Mandla, Balaghat and Seoni, Shri Mugdam Prakash Bhupal Khandwa, Burhanpur and Khandwa, Sushri Mattu J.P. Singh Katni, Jabalpur and Umaria, Sushri Manisha Verma Bhopal, Raisen and Vidisha, Sushri Pallavi Chenoy Khargone, Barwani and Indore, Shri Nitin Wakankar Shahdol, Dindori and Anuppur, Shri Prashant Patharwe Narsinghpur, Chhindwara and Betul, Shri R.K. Jha Jhabua, Dhar and Alirajpur, Shri Ranjan Dev Sharma Bhind, Gwlior and Datia, Shri Ratan Prakash Guna, Ashok Nagar and Rajgarh, Shri S.K. Malviya Rewa, Sidhi and Singrauli and Shri V. Ramakrishna Ujjain Agar-Malwa and Shajapur districts.
Collectors in all districts have appointed nodal officers to assist in the work of awareness observers. Awareness observers will seek information regarding activities and works being undertaken for voters’ awareness in districts. Awareness observers will also seek information regarding district level media cell. They will also review basic amenities to be provided to voters at polling booths and distribution of polling slips.
