Caste certificate procedure of SC-ST, Denotified, Nomadic, Semi-nomadic Tribe simplified

The state government has simplified the procedure of issuing caste certificates to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-nomadic tribes. The General Administration Department has asked all divisional commissioners, district collectors and sub-divisional officers to ensure strict compliance of the instructions.
Officials have been told that the applicants who do not have their domicile record in writing from 1950 (1984 for Other Backward Classes) or earlier should not be compelled to present written record. The Revenue Officer himself/herself should go to the spot or confirm the information mentioned in the application form by checking it during the camp. They should confirm information from the applicant/concerned Sarpanch / Corporator/ Village and elite persons of the locality and record their statement. Once they are satisfied, they should recommend for issuance of permanent caste certificate.
Directives have been given to issue caste certificate without further investigation to such persons of tribal communities, whose any family member i.e. father / brother / sister has been issued caste certificate by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) in the past.
