Case registered against unknown people for stone pelting during SRK visit

BHOPAL: On Thursday City police has registered a case against unidentified persons for incidents of stone-pelting in front of a mall here during film star Shahrukh Khan’s visit.

A case had been registered as the mob present at DB mall indulged in stone pelting injuring a Sub-Divisional Magistrate and some policemen.

Police said the case has been registered under sections 353, 332, 147 and 148 of the IPC for assault to prevent public servants from discharging their duties. According to police, the stone pelting was done by those who did not have passes and hence were denied entry into the mall.

The city police is so confident that those involved in stone throwing would be identified during the investigation.
