Bhopal Station will be Number one in India
BHOPAL: The MP government will do every effort to make a Bhopal railway station as the number one fully equipped railway station of India. This was said by Urban Administration and Development Minister while taking stock of the work of proposed sixth platform of Bhopal railway station on Friday.
On the occasion Divisional Railway Manager of Bhopal Ghanshyam Singh, Municipal Commissioner Rajneesh Shrivastava and officers of Railways and other departments were present. The local administration will resettle the smalltime traders dislocated in the wake of construction of sixth platform said Minister Gaur.
The work was also inspected by minister Gaur.Singh praised Gaur for his efforts. He informed that passenger will be able to directly reach the sixth platform in their vehicles. About Rs. 22 crore will be spent in the project. The various facilities including retiring room, cafeteria, coach guiding system, washable aprons, covered shed etc will be provided in the platform.
The work will be expected to complete in one year while the work of expansion of platforms 4 and 5 will be completed by mid-May. The construction was a major achievement after almost 28 years says DRM.
