‘Better work climate to be generated for police force’

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that peace and security are foremost requirements of common people. Better situation prevails over due to alertness and activeness of Madhya Pradesh police. The state’s police force has achieved a number of successes like eradication of dacoity menace, control over communal discords, breaking networks of organised crimes and increasing percentage of ensuring punishment to criminals. He said that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure that police force gets better work climate. He informed that recruitments for 21 thousand posts will be made to remove shortage of police personnel. This work will be completed by November next year. Shri Chouhan was addressing a felicitation function of 72 medal winners of the police, jail and home guard.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that cases of crimes against women should be handled with sensitiveness. There should be no lapse in efforts to ensure that culprits are punished invariably. He said that constant dialogue is also necessary along with strict action for maintaining law and order. police personnel’s behaviour should be soft towards gentle persons and strict against crooks.

Congratulating medal winner officers, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that job in police is not mere an employment, but also service to nation and society as well. He hoped that these officers will continue serving with the same enthusiasm and spirit. The Chief Minister said that he always stands by them.

Expressing gratitude towards the Chief Minister on behalf of the department, Director General of Police Shri Nandan Dube said that efforts in the direction of meeting requirements and solving problems of the police force are yielding good results. He informed that percentage of punishing criminals is increasing constantly. Monitoring has been made more effective with posting of senior officers at women’s cells, videoconferencing etc. Additional DGP Shri V.K. Singh proposed a vote of thanks. Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, Police Housing Corporation Managing Director Shri V.M. Kanwar, DGP Economic Offences Investigation Bureau Shri Ramesh Sharma, DGP Jail Shri Surendra Singh, medal winner 72 police officers and their relatives were also present on the occasion.
