Ayurved Advisory Board to be constituted to promote Ayurved in state

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Ayurved Advisory Board will be constituted to promote Ayurved in the state. The board will give suggestions to the State Government for carrying Ayurved forward scientifically, making it practical for common people and research-related plans. Experts will be inducted into the board. A new Ayurved Drug Industry Policy will be chalked out to facilitate Ayurvedic pharmaceutical companies. Ayurved will be included in the “Sampoorn Swashthya Sabke Liye” action plan. Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurved College will be developed as institute of excellence for research work. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan made these announcements at the concluding function of fifth World Ayurved Congress and Expo-2012 at Lal Parade Ground here today. About 4 thousand representatives from various countries participated in the congress and over three lakh people visited it.

Reiterating his commitment to promote Ayurved and encourage people to adopt it, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Ayurved camps will also be held during health check-up camps to be organised in districts in future. He said that Madhya Pradesh government wishes to establish Ayurved laboratory in the state. He said that Ayurved doctors will be recruited soon. Ayurved doctors will do duty at district hospitals. Staff and infrastructure arrangements at Ayurved colleges will be strengthened. Initiative will be taken to start Ayurved degree college. For this, there will be no paucity of funds in the budget. He directed to chalk out an action plan for treatment through Panchkarm. Shri Chouhan said that Ayurved has the potential to treat serious diseases. What is needed is to promote researches and faith in this system of medicine.

Shri Suresh Soni of Vigyan Bharti stressed the need to increase awareness about diet and change in lifestyle for promoting Ayurved. Relations between human beings, nature and environment will have to be understood afresh. He said that India possesses a system of medicine to ensure total health for global welfare. India will have to continue Mission Ayurved. There is also need to launch a mass campaign to protect forest wealth which is source of Ayurved.

Science and Technology Minister Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya said that deep-rooted faith in Ayurved system of medicine will serve as a catalyst to carry it forward. He said that Madhya Pradesh will emerge as a precedent for establishing Ayurved system of medicine in entire country. Environment Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya said that from youths’ inclination towards Ayurved, it has become clear that it will be expanded at the global level soon.

Minister of State for AYUSH Shri Mahendra Hardia said that a series of workshops will be held to share Ayurved knowledge. Describing the World Ayurved Congress as a milestone, he said that well-planned efforts will be made to disseminate benefits of researches in Ayurved sector to people.

Inventor of Super Computer and Chairman of Vigyan Bharti Dr. Bhatkar said that benefits of science must be reached out to the poor. Lauding World Ayurved Congress, he said it will turn out to be an important step towards revival of Ayurved. He stressed the need to adopt Ayurved as main system of medicine for public health since it simultaneously ensures physical, mental and spiritual health. He said that Madhya Pradesh should play key role in popularising Ayurved system of medicine.

Vigyan Bharti General Secretary Dr. A. Jaikumar said that Ayurved is an eternal truth. He expressed gratitude towards Madhya Pradesh for organising this world-level Ayurved congress.

On the occasion, first, second and third prizes were given away on the basis of decoration and display at stalls put up by Ayurved pharmaceutical companies and institutions. Besides this, five best posters were also rewarded. The first prize for stalls was given to Solomix Nuturceuticals, second to Unijewels Life Science and the third prize was given away to Vindhya Herbals.

At the outset, the chief Minister went round an exhibition displaying various dimensions of Ayurved, stalls of Ayurved pharmaceutical companies and Ayurved health camps. On the occasion, foreign participants were also honoured by presenting them mementoes.
