Application for Government Haj Quota to Be Submitted by June 30

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of State Haj Committee Dawood Ahmad Khan has informed that applications from government quota for Haj 2010 can be submitted by June 30 and that necessary guidelines have been issued in the regard, said an official release.

He said that applications along with recommendation for government Haj quota are directly to be sent to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will release seats under the government Haj quota in the first week of July, release said.

He informed that the applicants have to get directly in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this connection, said release.

Khan said that according to information given by Haj Committee of India Mumbai, it will be mandatory for such applicants that they should not have gone on Haj pilgrimage during the last five years through Haj Committee of India.

The application should be submitted in two copies with three photographs with the recommendation of an MP, Central or state minister.

For the proof of residence/citizenship, an applicant will have to furnish two attested photo copies of ration card, driving licence, identity card, voter identity card and PAN card.

The application should reach the office of Under Secretary (Haj), Foreign Ministry, Government of India, Room No 224, Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110021 by June 30, 2010.
