Appeal to sanction convention centre at Gwalior: Maya Singh
Bhopal: meet Union Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) Dr. Mahesh Sharma in New Delhi today and urged him for early sanction to pending proposal of convention centre at Gwalior.
Minister Smt. Singh informed the Union MoS that Gwalior is the most important spot in Madhya Pradesh from tourism point of view. Need for a convention centre there is being felt since long. On her insistence, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Department has sent a Rs. 7.35 crore proposal, which is pending with the Central Government. She said that land is also available for convention centre at Gwalior. The Union MoS assured Smt. Maya Singh for early action in this regard.
The Minister urged the Union MoS to also chalk out a scheme to further develop Gwalior from tourism viewpoint. She said that Gwalior is conducive and convenient for tourists as far as transport and connectivity is concerned.
