All Should Come Forward to Make Sacred River Narmada Incessant

Bhopal. All should make efforts together to make Sacred River Narmada’s water incessant. Government cannot do this alone. This was said at Jan-Sanvad progarmme held during the 8th Day of Narmada Yatra at village Unwa of Harda block. Minister for Public Works Shri Rampal singh and Chairman State Tourism Development Corporation Shri tapan Bhoumik were present in the programme.

Praising efforts of Narmada seva yatris, Shri Singh apprised him about the information related to yatra. He said that this movement will definitely yield Narmada conservation.

Villagers sung bhajans and yatra was welcomed by women with kalashs on reaching Khardana and Unwa villages. Atmosphere of joy and exuberance was seen in every village.

Shri Bhoumik told the people not to dispose off sewage in Narmada River. He further mentioned that Ganga-Jamuna are formed from the glacier whereas Narmada is formed from water oozing out from the roots of the trees. Therefore undertake plentiful plantation and do not release sewage and garbage in Narmada river.

Works Worth Rs. 15 Crore will be Undertaken on Banks of Narmada River

Shri Bhoumik informed that as per the announcements of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, sewage treatment plants, toilets, muktidhams, ghats, changing rooms for women will be constructed beside various other works at a cost of Rs. 15 crore.

Dharmashala to Be Constructed at Unwa Costing Rs. 25 lakh

Moreover Shri Bhoumik said that Dharmashala costing Rs. 25 lakh will be constructed at Ambe Maa campus at Unwa. He announced the names of the Narmada Seva samiti of Unwa. Shri Bhoumik also administered pledge for every possible efforts towards plantation, sanitation, water conservation, to prevent pollution, organic farming and to maintain the purity of Maa Narmada.

Former Minister Shri Kamal Patel mentioned that this is not a political but social campaign. Participation of villagers is must in this yatra, he added.

Everyone is eager to contribute in the yatra in their own way. There are two such cycle riders named Shri Sardar and Shri B.K.Hindustani. They are accompanying the yatra continuously. They believed that if youths take interest in this than nobody can stop Narmada River to become most clean and pure river of the country.

Sadhu-Sants accompanying the yatra said that this is not political yatra, it has been undertaken for social cause. Hence, it is necessary for all the sections to contribute wholeheartedly to fulfill the objectives of the yatra. State BJP Organisation Secretary Shri Suhas Bhagat, Local Public Representatives and Sadhus-Sants were present on the occasion.
