All must be literate for development of Madhya Pradesh: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that all people in the state must be literate for development of Madhya Pradesh. He urged to take pledge for sending every child to school. Shri Chouhan urged all people to cooperate in the efforts for developing golden Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a function under “School Chalen Ham Abhiyan” and “Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh” at Sheopur today. Shri Chouhan inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 12 construction/development works costing Rs. 8 crore. Public Health Engineering Minister Sushri Kusum Mehdele, MP Shri Anup Mishra and MLA Shri Durgalal Vijay were also present on the occasion. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that every child in the state must be educated. He asked public representatives to work unitedly for getting deprived and poor children admitted to schools. The Chief Minister said that illiteracy not only hampers pace of progress of family, but country also. He said that state government has accorded top priority to education. State government has made arrangements for free education, text-books, uniform, cycles and scholarships for students. The government is making available bank loans on its guarantee to students pursuing higher education. Students having obtained over 85 percent marks in class XII are being provided laptops by state government. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan felicitated school children by applying roli-chandan and garlanding them. Caste certificates to be prepared in school itself: The Chief Minister said that this year, arrangements have been made to prepare caste certificates in school itself. Parents will have to give only an affidavit. He said that strict action will be taken against persons for negligence in preparation of caste certificate. Executive engineer removed: During his Sheopur visit, the Chief Minister directed to remove PHE’s executive engineer Shri N.R. Godiya from Sheopur due to complaint regarding not solving drinking water problem in tribal areas. he said that officers performing excellently will be rewarded while those exercising negligence in schemes’ implementation will be subjected to strict action.
