Affected Farmers Get Relief for Crops Damaged by Natural Calamity in 2015

Bhopal. Natural calamity in 2015 damaged the Kharif Crops. During this period the state government took an important decision to convert Short term loan worth Rs. 5000 crore to Medium term loan. This decision benefitted about 10 lakh farmers.

The decision of the state government, which is always besides farmers in difficult times, is proved beneficial for the farmers. It is notable that the farmers will not have to pay any interest for the change in the loan term. The medium term loan will be provided on zero percent interest to the affected farmers. Two years repayment term has been fixed for the farmers whose crop was damaged between 33 to 50 percent. Whereas 3 years repayment term has been fixed for more than 50 percent damaged crop.
