7.89 lakh temporary connections given for agricultural operations

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Eastern, Central and Western Region Power Distribution Companies have provided 7 lakh 89 thousand 193 temporary power connections till the end of November to farmers for operation of irrigation pumps and thrashers. The three power companies received revenue worth Rs. 421 crore from this.
During the period, the Eastern Region Power Distribution Company provided temporary power connections to 2 lakh 98 thousand 167 farmers. Of them, 2 lakh 78 thousand 198 connections were given for irrigation pumps and 19 thousand 969 for thrashers. The company received revenue worth Rs. 105 crore 83 lakh 57 thousand from temporary connections.
The Central Region Power Distribution Company provided temporary power connections to one lakh 60 thousand 565 farmers. Of them, one lakh 59 thousand 168 connections were given for irrigation pumps and 19 thousand 969 for thrashers. The company received revenue worth Rs. 105 crore 15 lakh 58 thousand from temporary connections.
The Western Region Power Distribution Company provided temporary power connections to 3 lakh 30 thousand 461 farmers. Of them, 3 lakh 28 thousand 267 connections were given for irrigation pumps and 2,194 for thrashers. The company received revenue worth Rs. 209 crore 72 lakh 37 thousand from temporary connections.
