Neha Dhupia slams Suchitra Krishnamoorthi for accusing her of ‘chamchagiri’ in industry

Amid the ‘insider and outsider’ debate in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi opined that it is not nepotism but ‘chamchagiri’ that is a bigger threat in the industry. The actress also took a dig at filmmaker Karan Johar’s best friend, actress Neha Dhupia.

On Sunday, Krishnamoorthi took to Twitter and wrote: “Peeps its not #nepotisminbollywood one shld aggravate against but chamchagiri. I mean how did #nehadhupia suddenly get all these talk shows except that she is #karanjohar s new bestie and #femina Missindia 2002!! – shes no blood relative or star kid is she.”

“Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely…true in all fields. Be it #Politics or #Bollywood or anything. Perspective is everything. The egoistic & powerdrunk mind ceases to see right from wrong . Just my two cents. Om Shanti,” Suchitra added in another post.

On Saturday she took to the micro-blogging site again and tweeted, “i knew i would get trolled. i have nothing personal against anyone. Ofcourse nobody survives without talent. But do hear what a lot of people are saying – & young kids bng boycotted bec of this whole nepotism debate. Its groupism that thrives (i used the word chamchagiri).”

Neha Dhupia, who’s a ‘gang leader’ of the popular adventure reality show ‘MTV Roadies Revolution’ clapped back at the actress and posted a note on social media.

She wrote: “Dear ma’am, This is possibly the most distasteful and disgraceful tweet I have read (trust me I have read a lot) to reduce a friendship of many years, that you know nothing about speaks volumes of you and the time you have at hand. I am proud to be self made… a proud daughter, wife and mother… and I have the deepest regards for women who can acknowledge that. #strongwomensupportstrongwomen”

This comes amid the nepotism debate which was rekindled in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput”s death. After the news of the tragic demise broke out on the internet, large number of netizens felt the young actor had been a victim of politics and power play by Bollywood’s nepotism gang, which eventually pushed him towards a drastic step.

Karan Johar came under fire after being tagged as the ‘flag bearer of nepotism’ and allegedly making Sushant feel like an outsider. He was also panned for mocking the actor on ‘Koffee With Karan’.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14.
