5-year plan to be chalked out for every villages development

Bhopal. Gram Panchayat Development Schemes will be chalked out to ensure planned development of every village in the state. As a results various works can be undertaken smoothly under various schemes during next 5 years including construction of buildings and roads, system for outflow of water from villages and construction of drains etc. This was decided by a meeting of advisory committee of Panchayats, Rural and Social Justice departments chaired by departmental Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava here today.

MLAs Shri Girish Gautam, Shri Nishank Kumar Jain, Shri Vishnu Khatri and Smt. Imarti Devi Suman put forth important suggestions regarding providing houses to the rural poor, linking road-less village with approach roads and better implementation on various schemes including piped water schemes.

Shri Gopal Bhargava informed that necessary funds will be made available to Gram Panchayats for strengthening of piped water schemes and the work would be undertaken under supervision of Sarpanchas. ACS Panchayats and Rural Development Smt. Aruna Sharma, Secretary Panchayats Shri Raghuveer Shrivastava and Secretary Social Justice Shri Manohar Agnani were also present at the meeting.

MLA members of the advisory committee stressed the need for development of village on the lines of cities. ACS Smt. Sharma informed that initiative has been taken to implement concept of ‘Smart Village-Smart Panchayat’ in Madhya Pradesh. A training programme is being started to chalk out plans as per needs of villages.

Members of the advisory committee also put forth suggestions about problems being faced by beneficiaries in availing loans from banks under Mukhyamantri Grameen Aawas Mission and simplification of procedure of social security and disability pensions. CEO of Rural Roads and Housing Authority Smt. Alka Upadhyay, Director Samagra Social Security Mission Shri Ajit Kumar, CEO of State Rural Livelihoods Mission Shri L.M. Belwal, Commissioner MNREGA Shri Raghuraj Rajendran and State Programme Officer Swachchh Bharat Mission (Rural) Smt. Hemwati Barman attended the meeting.
